Author Guidelines
1. General Instructions
Contemporary Research invites scholarly manuscripts in engineering, technology, sciences, commerce, management, humanities, and social sciences. Authors should ensure that their manuscripts present original research, use appropriate methodologies, clearly report findings, and follow accepted academic writing practices. All submissions must comply with the journal’s applicable publication ethics and editorial policies.
2. Manuscript Preparation
Manuscripts should be written in clear, grammatically correct English and organised into logical sections appropriate to the article type and research discipline.
An original research manuscript may include the following sections:
-
Title
-
Author Names and Affiliations
-
Abstract
-
Keywords
-
Introduction
-
Literature Review or Background
-
Materials and Methods or Research Methodology
-
Results and Discussion
-
Conclusion
-
Acknowledgements, if applicable
-
Funding and Conflict of Interest Statements, where applicable
-
References
The manuscript structure may be adapted for review articles, theoretical papers, case studies, short communications, and other manuscript categories.
3. Title and Author Information
The manuscript title should be concise, informative, and representative of the principal contribution of the research. All authors must be listed using their correct names and institutional affiliations. A corresponding author should be identified to facilitate communication during editorial assessment, peer review, and publication.
Authors are responsible for ensuring that all contributor information is accurate and that all individuals who qualify for authorship are appropriately included.
4. Abstract and Keywords
The abstract should summarise the research objective, methodology, principal findings, and major contribution. It should be self-contained and avoid unnecessary citations, unexplained abbreviations, and unsupported claims.
As a suggested preparation guideline, authors may provide an abstract of approximately 150–250 words and four to six relevant keywords. Any final word limits or formatting requirements should follow the journal’s confirmed submission instructions.
Keywords should represent the principal concepts, methods, materials, technologies, and subject areas discussed in the manuscript.
5. Main Text and Research Methodology
The manuscript should present the research problem, objectives, relevant background, methodology, results, and conclusions in a logical sequence.
Research methods should be described with sufficient detail to support critical evaluation and, where appropriate, reproducibility. Experimental conditions, datasets, analytical techniques, computational procedures, assumptions, and evaluation methods should be reported accurately.
6. Results, Discussion, and Conclusion
Results should be presented clearly and supported by appropriate evidence. The discussion should interpret the findings, explain their significance, and relate them to relevant previous studies. Limitations and practical or theoretical implications should be addressed where appropriate.
The conclusion should summarise the principal findings and contributions without introducing unsupported claims or simply repeating the entire manuscript.
7. Figures, Tables, and Equations
All figures, tables, and equations should be clearly presented, appropriately numbered, and referenced in the manuscript text. Captions and titles should accurately describe their content. Figures and tables should support the discussion and contribute to understanding the research findings.
Authors must obtain the necessary permissions for copyrighted materials reproduced from other sources and provide appropriate acknowledgements.
8. References and Citations
All sources cited in the manuscript must appear in the reference list, and all listed references should be cited in the text where appropriate. Authors should verify the accuracy and completeness of bibliographic information and follow the citation and referencing requirements specified by the journal.
Relevant scholarly sources should be cited to acknowledge previous research and establish the academic context of the study.
9. Research Ethics and Originality
Submitted manuscripts must represent original scholarly work and must not be under simultaneous consideration by another journal. Authors should acknowledge all sources, avoid plagiarism and duplicate publication, and comply with applicable research ethics requirements.
Required ethical approvals, informed consent statements, permissions, and other relevant declarations should be included where applicable. Any conflicts of interest and funding sources must be disclosed as required by the journal’s policies.
10. Use of Artificial Intelligence
Authors remain responsible for the accuracy, originality, integrity, citations, data, images, and conclusions presented in their manuscripts. AI tools must not be listed as authors. AI-generated content must not be used to fabricate research evidence or misrepresent the methods and findings of a study.
Authors should follow the journal’s applicable policies concerning AI-assisted writing and research.
11. Article Types
The journal may consider the following manuscript categories, subject to its editorial scope and submission requirements:
-
Original Research Articles
-
Review Articles
-
Technical Papers
-
Experimental and Applied Studies
-
Modelling and Simulation Studies
-
Case Studies
-
Interdisciplinary Research Articles
-

-
Short Communications
The selected article type should accurately reflect the manuscript’s objectives, methodology, and principal contribution.
12. Manuscript Submission
Authors should submit manuscripts through the journal’s designated online submission system or official submission channel. All files should be complete, readable, and prepared according to the relevant instructions.
Required declarations, permissions, supplementary files, and supporting documents should accompany the submission where applicable. Authors should check the submission details carefully before completing the process.
13. Editorial Assessment and Peer Review
Submitted manuscripts undergo an initial editorial assessment to determine their relevance to the journal’s scope, completeness, originality, and compliance with applicable requirements.
Manuscripts that proceed beyond the initial assessment are evaluated according to the journal’s established peer-review process. Authors may be asked to revise their manuscripts in response to editorial or reviewer comments.
Submission does not guarantee acceptance or publication.
